Big Bang Theory...

ImageChef Custom Images

September 12th, 2008.

Dear diary,

To describe this day as one hell of a heck would not be doing justice to the chain of events that unfolded like one stray photon which caused the Big bang. So i would leave it best unlabelled.

You can of course make out from the images and photos that we had a whale of a time. We did ! I mean, it was supposed to be our department symposium, but now you might wonder why all the photos are taken in class or on the bus. Right ?

To tell you the truth, the symposium was one big BAD mistake. I admit to have been bloody bored during my one hour stay inside that "24-hour fan-conditioned" auditorium. We had a guest of honour, a "someone" from TamilNadu Electricity Board. At the end of his "inspirational speech(compere Soumya)!" he himself must have been left wondering why only the fans in the auditorium work and not the ACs ! Some problem with current supply, I presume.

Anyway, we were then asked to load ourselves up with refreshments (in limited quantity of course !) and I sensed the opportunity to escape dance invitingly in front of me. I reqiured no second invitation ! But, I had a shock when I reached my class. Most of the boys and girls had already parked themselves comfortably in our classroom desks. They too must have been invited. Maybe invites always reach me late ! Beats me !

So, it was then that we had the "Big Bang" the one that we were talking about earlier. Emotions were displayed in ample measure and those photos would do a better job describing our carefree attitude than my words on the monitor. So, browse those photos and guess for yourself !

Take care.

I'm back... no... I'm in between....

ImageChef Custom Images

It's been a long time since I wrote my diary, so much so that it smells. As usual, I begin with a sorry.

11th September, 2008.

Dear unattended diary,

I've had schedules packed to my chin and above right now that I haven't got time to catch with my old friends. Though this might be a lame excuse, I take a moment off to apologise to those poor souls. Sorry again.

This week has been quite a blast. I've got a few steady friends now and it's really exciting when you look forward to messaging your gang after the dour experience that college offers. So, it's a good thing that Airtel introduced this sms-booster pack. A boon for message-lovers and a boon for their business too... but a boon, nevertheless.

Tomorrow, we have a symposium happening for the department of IT and I'm certainly looking forward to contributing in any small way that I can. I had been asked by the teachers to give a paper presentaion and had it ready, but then, our HOD declared that our college students weren't allowed to participate. So, I had to put my plans in the waiting-list.

Anyway, tomorrow I hope to see the girls come alive in traditional sarees and cholis and what not. I regret my limited knowledge on the subject but I admit to have picked up whatever little I know from overhearing the discussions between my sister and my mom. Thank you.

It feels really great coming back to my diary and I realise that I've not lost my touch( whatever it is). I'll get my diary across to you all everyday. It's another of those not-so-important promises. If i keep it, well, it's better for you, me and the entire world, but, if I break it, well, I'll have to start my new post with one of those apology messages. Again !

Take care everyone,
Enjoy the day.

Love is all that matters....

ImageChef Custom Images

Sometimes we make each other cry
Sometimes we're locked inside the prison's of our pride, oh yeah
Sometimes we break each other's hearts with the words we say
Let anger get in the way,too many times
But always after all, love
Love is all that matters, love
After everything one thing remains the same
One thing we cannot change, oh
We all have one heart, love
And one heart needs another
'Cause love, love is all that matters
Love is all that matters
It matters after all, oh (oh)

Visual Poetry - ImageChef.com

Sometimes we search this world for gold
When all we really need is just a hand to hold
Sometimes we let the greatest treasure just slip away
With the words we forget to say,too many times
But always after all, love
Love is all that matters (hey...) {hey}
After everything one thing remains the same
One thing we cannot change, hey...{No}
We all, we all have one heart, love
And one heart needs another
'Cause love is all that matters
Love is all that matters
It matters after all

After all that we've been through
It comes down to one step or two
You need me and I need you
'Cause love is all that matters
{Love is all that matters}
Love is all that matters
{Love is all that matters}
The only thing that matters
{Oh}Love is all that matters
The only thing that matters
It matters after all Oh...{Oh}

The train...

“Hey, you, let me in… I got here first…” Anand said.
“Hello, mister… That’s not my problem.. Now don’t you dare push me… I’ll get in… you come in after me...”
“Are you sure you want to get in?”
“Of course, I want to… I have no other choice…”said Badri solemnly “Now, move aside or I’ll smash your nose…”
“Hey, hey, wait a minute…”Deva alleged “that’s my luggage you’re carrying in… See, it has my name on it…”
“Oh… Sorry sir, it was a mistake…”
“Where is she? She’s gonna be late as usual… Doesn’t she come early atleast once in a while?”Chandran enquired.
“Now, don’t you go about scolding her again.. She’ll be here any minute…”

“Anyone sitting here?” asked Badri.
“Can’t you see? Does it look like someone is sitting there? Now don’t make a fuss and sit down” said Chandran.
“Hello everyone…I’m Deva”
“We didn’t ask…Anyway I’m Anand...And you are…?”
“Well, I’m Badri…”
“ I’m Chandran…”
“And I’m Elakya…”said someone from behind, panting.
“Well, finally you’re here…I was beginning to worry about you… Why do you always come late huh?”said Chandran.
“You both are husband and wife, I presume?”
“Of course not. I’m his sister…I’d be sorry if I was his wife...!”
“hey, that was mean… You know, I really don’t get angry all the time…Only sometimes…”
“Yeah…Yeah…ONLY sometimes…”
“Hey, anyway, how did you all land up here?” asked Deva “Did you all receive the letter like I did?”
“What letter are you talking about?”said Anand “The one that said… Come one, come all…the experience of your lifetime awaits you…An all-expenses paid trip to...thingy?”
“Yeah…that one…”
“Hey, I received one too…”
“Me too…”
“You mean, you got one and you didn’t tell me?” Chandran rolled his eyes.
“Why didn’t you tell me first?”
“Hey, stop it… Don’t start fighting again…”
“Ask him to stop first…”
“What did I do? You should’ve told me…”
“Shut up…Don’t argue you two…You’re getting on my nerves…” snapped Deva.
“Where are you from anyway?” asked Anand.
“Well, I’m from Ahmedabad…”said Badri.
“I’m from Chennai and she’s too…” said Chandran, indicating Elakya.
“Yeah, ok…I’m from Bangalore…and you?”
“Well…I’m from Bangalore too…But you don’t look bengaluru….” Anand pointed to Deva.
“Of course I am. Don’t be an idiot…”
“Whatever…I’m not going to argue…I’m tired…”
“I think we’ll all sleep for a while now…What do you say?”
“Good idea… Been a while since I slept peacefully…You know. Been travelling throughout…”
“Great…Should I put off the lights?”
“Wait…Wait…”
“Who the hell is that…?”
“…At this time too?”
“Hello…Everyone…I’m the TTR…Now, show me your tickets…”
“Tickets...? But, we don’t have any?”
“What do you mean you don’t have any? In that case, you need to step off the train…”
“Sir, please…We’re tired…We’ll buy tickets from you now…We don’t mind paying double..”
“You don’t huh?”said the TTR “well, then… ok… Now, out with five lakhs…”
“Five lakhs? You don’t need to worry sir… The government will send the money to my family. I’ll ask them to send it to you. And anyway, they said it was an all-expenses paid trip…”
“Where to, sir? The letter didn’t mention…”
“Don’t you know? There is only one destination for this train…”
“Where to...?”
“Well, wait and see…”
“Anyway… Could you leave us to sleep sir? We’re tired…”
“Yes, of course guys… Take care…”
As the train chugged along peacefully towards heaven, the lights were turned off and the victims of the blasts began snoring.

God's own country

I desperately wanted to visit this place,
They say its god’s own country,
With mystic powers and endless life,
And freshness of soul, mind and body.

They say its nature at her best,
Endless streams, rainbows and falls,
Flowers of myriad colors and
The smell of nectar, clear and pure.

I was in a fix,
Mom and dad won’t allow me to,
You’ve got your exams and,
A degree to complete,
They don’t understand, they never will.

But then I read about people who visited this place,
And so I thought,
Why not give it a shot.
So that’s what I did,
And I’m here now,
God’s own country.
The travel is simple,
You don’t need trains, cars or buses,
Or even ships and airplanes,
All you need,
Is a fan and a rope.
